World Clock Project

There are 1440 minutes in a day. Why not have a web site that tells time with a photo of a public clock for each minute of the day. Good idea.

Well it's that time again! (Seems like only yesterday!) That special day of the year that families all around the world join together to feast and celebrate - Tribute To Corn Day!

Okay, so maybe it's only a Wohba celebration, but Top Men love corn, so just let us have our day in the corn.

This year we're featuring (drum roll please)... Popcorn!

What kind of magic is this? A simple kernel of golden goodness - placed in hot oil - and, lo and behold, it turns inside-out and re-creates itself as a puffy morsel of buttery perfection (if you add plenty of melted butter.)

So we've provided these video highlights of popcorn. Watch them all - you won't be disappointed!

Happy Third Annual Tribute to Corn Day! So say we all!

Important Note: Stay away from the evil, microwave-in-a-bag variety! Pop it the old-fashioned way - in a pot, with a glass lid, on the stovetop, just like Top Men do it!

Kaguya Earthrise

Japan's Kaguya spacecraft is orbiting our moon with a high-definition camera onboard. Today we got a treat. Moving and still images of an Earthrise and Earthset taken a few days ago by the spacecraft. (Did you know that there is no rising and setting of the Earth for a stationary observer on the moon. Discuss amongst yourselves.)

The still images are amazing high-definition images, but JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) is not being forthcoming with the full high-definition video - giving us only one-quarter resolution movies. Still worth a look.

Brain Train

Top Women and Top Men understand the benefits of staying active - not only in body but in mind. We like to give our brains a regular hearty workout. Here is how we pumped mental iron this morning while admittedly exercising a bit of our usual competitive natures as well.

As for the competition: Top Men took a stunning early lead, but Top Women persevered; closing the gap. It was neck and neck (or should we say brain stem and brain stem) for a while, but... well... let's just say that Top Men can take some solace in the fact that they can still beat Top Women at arm wrestling.

Nothing gets your heart racing in the morning like a fine cup of coffee and some heady competition!

UPDATE (11/13): Top Men have discovered a technique to once again take the lead, and prove our superiority: cheating. Here is a hint on how. (Thanks Brice!)

Top Men lament the fact that chemistry sets are a thing of the past. National security trumps childhood discovery. Homes will no longer be filled with the amazing odor of ignited sulfur.
